Leopoldo
Laura Borzelli of Rome, Italy bought
as a puppy the male Leopoldo
in 1992 on a street market in the city of Frunze/Bishkek, Kirghistan.
The people selling him also bred him as they had both parents and a sister,
all very similar (not only in colour). Bishkek is a town on the old Silk
Route and is still the starting point for travels to Tibetan plateau from
north.

of medium substance (medium bone substance, good body substance).

Neck of good length, strong and well set, head proudly carried.
Top line
typical, level, strong (also in movement), with slight arch over the loin.
Chest of
correct length, width and depth, good forechest.
Loin strong,
of medium length.
Tail set
fairly high and carried in a short curl with 1st third of tail on the back,
dog rarelly drops it .

medium size, hare
Front
angulation – very good, good length of upper arm
Hind
angulation – very good
Front legs
have the correct slight bow, elbows are a bit loose and it shows in wide
front movement
Hind legs- a
bit cow hocked, also because of the dew claws on both legs
Coat – black
(with white blaze), shiny, strong top coat of medium length on body, with
nice mane and fringes, a bit less undercaot (the dog is out of coat
at this time of spring)
